Pa Julius Philip Ekofunmoma Geteloma was born on 15 September 1942 at Ebute Metta Lagos, Nigeria to Pa Benjamin Geteloma and Ma Ofigho Eghomade.  He attended school in Lagos and Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria and graduated from the famous Saint Thomas Aquinas College, Akure, Nigeria in 1963.  On completion of his secondary education, he was employed and trained as a Preventive officer in the Nigeria Custom Service (NCS) and served the Nation meritoriously for 35 years before retiring.  In his career as a custom officer, he travelled all over the nation (Nigeria) as well as served in various capacities.
Pa J.P. Geteloma had a great love for education and helping the needy.  He furthered his academic studies by travelling to Germany and later to the United Kingdom and gained a National and Higher National Diploma respectively from South Bank Polytechnic, which is now known as London South Bank University, United Kingdom.  He had other forms of training which includes police, security, and Man O’ War to mention a few.
Pa J.P. Geteloma was married to late Mrs Anne Antonia Onavigold Geteloma (nee Egbrugba) and together they have three children and survived by many grandchildren.
In his lifetime, Pa J.P. Geteloma was a good and loving husband, father, and grandpa, a diligent public servant who served with honour to his community and nation at large as well as a dear friend to many.  He was charitable to all and could not ignore the plight of the poor.  He supported many for instance, those going through financial hardship; supporting individuals with paying their secondary and university tuition fees, purchase of health prescription.
He was meticulous in writing and spoken words.  A good problem-solver, paying attention to details.  It is our understanding that Pa J.P. Geteloma will want his charitable giving and support of humanity to continue even after his death which have given birth to the NGO Pa J. P. Geteloma Foundation.
This is the story and life of our beloved father, grandpa, a real patriarch; a great man!
