


A brief History
“Do not despise the day of small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” Zechariah 4:10
Pa Julius Philip Ekofunmoma Geteloma was born on 15 September at Ebute Metta Lagos, Nigeria. He was born into a family of five. It was the start of small beginnings but nothing was taken for granted by the young boy who grow up and went in search of a better life. In doing so, his adventure commenced into cities of great opportunities. He was fortunate to attend the prestigious and famous St. Thomas Aquinas College in Nigeria, West Africa. He finished his secondary education and was employed and trained as a Preventive officer in the Nigeria Custom Service (NCS). He served the nation meritoriously for 35 years before retiring. He travelled all over the nation as well as served in various capacities.
He had a great love for education and helping the needy. He furthered his academic studies by travelling to Germany and later to the United Kingdom gaining a number of university qualifications.
In his lifetime, he married the woman of his youth Mama Anne Anthonia Onavigold Geteloma (nee Ebrugba) for 43 years before mama’s passing. He is survived by children and many grandchildren. Papa was a good and loving husband, father and grandpa, a devoted Christian, a diligent public servant who served with honour to his community and nation at large as well as a dear friend to many. He was charitable to all and could not ignore the plight of the poor. He supported many for instance, those going through financial hardship, supporting individuals in his own little way.
